People Skills: A key skill for the next decade

In 9th January Guardian (UK), Futurist Ian Pearson reports on four Key Skills for the next decade.

Along with adaptability, adding Spanish or Mandarin to your repertoire and entrepreneurship, People Skills are key skills for the next decade.”
He writes, “While artificial intelligence (AI) will have mopped up many jobs by 2020, it won't (yet) have replaced the need for interpersonal skills such as caring, negotiating, judgment and leadership. It will take AI another couple of decades to do that stuff."

John McCarthy, coined the term artificial intelligence (AI) in 1956, and defines it as "the science and engineering of making intelligent machines."

Ideally, we use intelligent machines to help us be more efficient and effective. With this we generate more productivity and it releases us to engage with the people who are important in our lives. Our families and friends. Colleagues and clients. Random people we may meet, synchronistically, who become our clients and friends.

What will you do today to cultivate the important people in your life?
Enjoy.
